This blog is a tool for students involved in the TAKS SCIENCE STUDY ISLAND personalized preparation activities. It will allow students to collaborate digitally on the engaging scientific questions which arise during the study of science. Students will interact with each other online (monitored by instructor) to explore science questions and discuss their thoughts and research findings with each other as they work through the various objectives of TAKS Preparation.

Yes it could be done, the solution just might be solved if we build a robot that updates every single moment it was built, and give it new possiblities every chance we have and let it observe these possibilities and analize if they work our not and one day it might add these possiblites together to come up with a cure, but a creature or item with this much knowledge can be very dangerous, it could one day be much smarter than us, and maybe even try to destory us, since we will be obsolete, to the robot/s at least.
Eradication of HIV.... Anything is possible if we put our minds to it. A long time ago, people didn't think we would get rid of small pox... but some people think it still exists through government cover-up. Polio is on the verge of being eradicated as well... I'm interested in the students ideas for solving this problem... What would you do????
I think that If we really tried to, we could eradicate H.I.V just like they did small pox. It would be really great!
I think H.I.V can be eradicated if we devote alot of time to the subject and come up with a solution. mean while we can talk to people about controling themselves.
I think it never could be done even if they had 50 years to do it. I dont think there is another solution because I just dont think it could be done.I think if there is some one smart enough to do it I think we should solve the promblem.
Discuss the possibility of solving the world H.I.V. epidemic using the methods employed by scientists in the 1970's to eliminate SMALLPOX worldwide(ex: door to door vaccination). Could it be done? Is there another solution? Should we solve the problem?
i think that we could solve the with h.i.v by elimating the amount of people that are with. and i think that they have solved this problem they are just not telling us.
I think that it has a cure for it if you use the right kind of materials. But you have to have knowledge to put all those things together.
I know they can fix if they fixed smallpox. If they continue to try maybe they can get it and it will be wonderful!
i think that if everyone tried, we could get rid of H.I.V like we did small pox. thats only if we devote the time to the sublect and come up with a solution.
I think we could eradicate H.I.V if we put our mind to it. Anything is possible. All we had to do is devote time and patience and come up with the solution to fix it. On the other hand people need to be careful what they do.
I think at this point in time H.I.V could not be eradicated.. I mean its spreading so rapidly around the U.S..And some people who have it dont know they have it until they have already given it to someone else..and so on an so forth.Thats why people should me more carefull.. Then again, i also have faith that with ALOT,ALOT,ALOT! of hard, dedicated work and a tremendous amout of effort it could possibly be done.
I think there must be some way to completely remove the HIV virus. If we set our minds to it we can find a solution to this virus because we can end the other strains of viruses.
I think that H.I.V could be eradicated. If they found a solution to smallpox then i think that we can to find a solution for H.I.V. It can be done as long as we try like really hard. It would be really great if we did and it would also make the world such a better place

I THINK THAT H.I.V. CAN BE ERASED FROM THE SURFACE OF EARTH WHY BECAUSE IF SMART SCIENTIFIC DUDES PUT THEIR MIND TO IT CAN BE POSSIBLE LIKE SMALLPOX IT WAS ERADICATED WITH COWS OR SOMETHING TO DO WITH COWS BUT YEAH HOPE THIS ANSWERS UR QUESTION BOOKER I MEAN "MR. BOOKER"
I'm pretty sure that the epidemic of HIV will be cure; with the method scientists use to eliminate smallpox.What i'm not so sure is that if we should use this method.
If you think about it "won't it make people think that they no longer need to use protection."Due to this in the future thier would be new deadly diseases!!!!!!!!!
I think we could cure HIV. I think we should. I personally can't really do anything about it, but...I definitely don't think that door-to-door vaccinations are the answers, though...Then, we would be injecting traces of HIV into some peoples' bodies that never would've had that in them otherwise. I think instead, people should be responsible and not sleep around with anyone and everyone (thus, tremendously increasing their chances of getting it)...I also believe that there are other methods besides the ones being used that could help in the eradication of aids...But that, however, is another subject :o)

I think that if they made SMALLPOX go away then they can make H.I.V go away even if it take a long time.
I think we can find a cure. There has to be something out there that eliminates HIV! And, Yes I do think that we should solve the problem to it. There are alot of people who die from aids everyday. There can be alot of lives saved. When it comes to solutions, i don't know because i won't know how it would be treated but i do think that we should come up with a better solution than we do now.
I think that we should definitely try to find a cure for AIDS. I think it could be done but it might take a lot of tries for scientists to find the cure. I dont know of any other solution there could be besides giving people medicine to keep them alive and healthy. The only other solution is to find a cure.
I think we could eradicate HIV if we really wanted to. It would be very difficult because its steady growing through out the country and more and more teens are having unprotecting sex.
i think even in 60 years it could never be done because that disease is something you could never loose that os a dangerous disease
i think we can as long as we keep working. and with the new equipment we have ,that really helps a lot. a long time ago we didnt have what we have now today we are more faster on solving things for our world today.

We should help scientists find a cure for HIV and Smallpox because we dont need that kind of stuff in our world because world should be cleaner. When HIV is floating around there is a chance you could be infected without and noticing. I really dont know about smallpox because there is to much damage to be done.

I think that the government should make everyone get a HIV test, and everyone who has HIV should live seperate from everyon else, so there will be less possibility from spreading the illness.
I think that we should make everyone in the United States take an HIV exam to know if they are inffected or not, and the people that are inffected with the virus should be seperated from the rest that aren't inffected. The people that are inffected should betested on to try to find a cure for HIV.
Yes, I think it can be done as well as they find a cure for everything else. I think they need more time and that hiv is more difficult than others, but I think they can do it.
I think that hiv is all about diases people could get from not wearing protection i really think hiv is a bad diease one type think so thats why i think hiv is.
yes i think we could help this matter...for one we could start by telling our partners that we have H.I.V. (i dont im just saying) that they have it so we can get protected and wont spread it to our partners. you know. i think someone very smart could invent something like a robot or something that can update an H.I.V. case on an hourly basis to track a person with H.I.V. and they would have some kind of a patch on their wrist if they have a case of it to warn their partners so that they cant spread it to us also.
I think that it sould be done. If it help get rid of smallpox so why couldnt it help get rid of HIV? The question is....is there any cure for H.I.V?
but i still think that it would help out a lot if it was done. Mainly to teens all over the world who have no idea they are infected.
I think that the door to door vaccination could be done just like it was in the 1970's. The only other solution would be abstinence. Yes, we should very much try to solve this problem.
I do think that H.I.V can be cured just like they did with Smallpox in 1970. I think if we really study H.I.V really good, like they know how can it be spread out, it will be good to know the cure.
i think H.I.V will be eradicated. We have the right technology and knowledge to prevent it...we once done it with small pox why not H.I.V....

I think today in this time it would not be safe for you to go around and try to offer vaccinations for hiv. But even though it would be a great opportunity I don't think it's safe because in the world today all you hear about is homicides..
Yes it is a cure just use the right things. There are a cure for any problem that you or your fellow americans can solve if you just put your mind to it and use the right material.
*[deAr mR. BoOoger]* =P I think we should try and reach out to everyone by making it a law to get tested and/or get vaccinated. I think that if we were serious about eradicating this STD then we could all work together to get this problem under control..

We should solve this problem in order to cure peolpe with H.I.V. and they will find a cure with all the technology we have these days. I think it can be done just like they did with small pox.
I think that the people with H.I.V. should be move to an island in the middle of the ocean. I also think that the people of the world are and will die if we don't do any thing about it.
The H.I.V. epidemic can be done it just hasn't been solved yet.
If scientists go more in depth into figuring out H.I.V. it could be solved in no time. They have found A.I.D.s vaccine (not yet proven that it works) so maybe along the way they can link that to H.I.V.
i think that HIV is going to have a cure found soon and that it will be great. they are really close to finding a cure and when it comes out i think they should make mass amounts of it and give it to everyone who needs it, and make it one of the requirments for babies shots... like mesuls and mumps. then after 10 years of no cases of HIV they can stop giving it to babies
personally, i think its personal responsiblity. if you dont want HIV or AIDS ... USE PRECAUTIONS!! i mean use condoms! dont use other people's drug needles, make sure tattoo needles are clean! come on, its common sense!but as far as medical prevention goes.. we're not there yet so we cant make it go away. and get tested for AIDS and HIV so you dont pass it on to other people. i understand that some forms of AIDS and HIVS are hereditary and we cant do anything about that but make sure you dont give it to others so the epidemic doesnt get worse. but one day, if we ever find a cure or prevention for AIDS then it should be something that is required of everyone to get.
We should try to find a cure for H.I.V. just as much as we should try finding a cure for every sickness on Earth. Why would you not? Better yet, How could you not? No one said that you wouldn't fail but then again no one said you wouldnt succeed. so WHY NOT? why not try? I believe the chances for solving HIV has much a chance as other diseases have for being solved, but if there's a chance for an imput of positivity onto peoples' lives, why not?
